Terms and Conditions of Assessment and Repair
Our repair services are provided with guarantees that align with the Australian Consumer Law and are subject to the following Terms and Conditions.
Warranty Policy:
Phone Clinic Camberwell offers a 3 months warranty on repairs. This warranty covers the recurrence of the exact same fault or failure of the specific component replaced, starting from the date of repair completion. Exceptions apply to liquid-damaged phones and customer-supplied parts, as detailed below.
Liquid Damage Repairs:
For devices damaged by liquid ingress, a 30 days warranty is provided. This warranty is strictly limited to the specific component replaced or the work performed. We cannot offer a warranty for the failure of any additional components that may occur at a later stage due to progressive corrosion. Furthermore, Phone Clinic Camberwell is not responsible for any new faults that may arise between the time of quotation and the commencement of repairs.
Customer-Supplied Parts:
Phone Clinic Camberwell does not provide any warranty for spare parts supplied by the dealer or customer. An installation fee will apply to all customer-supplied parts as quoted, regardless of their condition. Labor charges may also apply for the removal of faulty parts not supplied by Phone Clinic Camberwell. We assume no responsibility for the failure of any additional components, either at the time of repair or subsequently, when customer-supplied parts are used.
Warranty Invalidation:
The repair warranty will be voided under the following circumstances:
Tampering with Phone Clinic Camberwell repair warranty label.
Any attempts at repair by a third party after our service.
Physical damage to the device, including but not limited to, a popped or lifted screen, deep scratches, or subsequent liquid damage.
Water Resistance:
Please be advised that repairs performed on your device will not retain the manufacturer's original water resistance claim. Our warranty explicitly excludes coverage for any future water damage faults.
Genuine Parts and Manufacturer Warranty:
While we may use genuine parts, please be aware that this does not guarantee the manufacturer will consider your device's warranty valid. Each manufacturer has distinct policies regarding third-party repairs.
Cosmetic Repairs:
For cosmetic repairs (e.g., housing, cover, casing, lens replacement), Phone Clinic Camberwell provides no warranty.
Unlocking Services:
For phone unlocking services, Phone Clinic Camberwell guarantees the successful unlocking of the device. However, we take no responsibility for the functionality of other phone features after unlocking, and no warranty is provided for these other functions.
For iPhone unlocked via software patching (jailbreak), it is crucial not to re-software, update software, restore software, or reset the phone, as this will re-lock the device to its original network.
Data and Settings Loss:
During the assessment and repair process, your phone may lose some or all user software settings, applications, configuration settings, and data. This loss is generally not recoverable. Devices that are not turning on will be considered to have lost all data. Phone Clinic Camberwell does not accept responsibility for such data loss. It is the customer's sole responsibility to back up their phone prior to repair. Please note that phone/SIM memory backup capabilities may vary depending on the device make or model.
Quotes:
Our "No Fix, No Fee" policy does not apply to insurance quotes or written quotes, for which a labor charge will apply.
Cancellation Policy:
Labor charges may be applied for any cancellation or reversal of repair works after the customer has confirmed to proceed with the repair.
Uncollected Units/Equipment:
If your unit/equipment is not collected within 90 days from the date indicated on this form, Phone Clinic Camberwell will consider the product abandoned. Phone Clinic Camberwell will then be entitled to exercise its rights under law to dispose of or sell the product to recover the repair costs.
